things to do

What is there to do in Warroad?  We get this question all the time.  We are proud to say that our small town boasts many fun things to do and beautiful sites to see.  Here is an idea of what is available in Warroad.

Fishing and Hunting

For our locals, fishing and hunting are daily past-times.  But for our guests visiting the area, fishing or hunting is a vacation!  The abundance of wildlife in this area is amazing.  Whether you enjoy duck, goose, bear or deer hunting...the Warroad area is the place for you. And if fishing is your passion, legendary Lake of the Woods provides thousands of miles of exciting walleye fishing.

The Patch Motel is located just minutes from the public access and only miles from the woods and wildlife.  Outdoor enthusiasts will never want to leave!

The Point
Warroad is the only US port on beautiful Lake of the Woods.  The Warroad Point offers a spacious public access, plenty of parking, biking and walking trails, a newly updated children’s playground, a fantastic swimming pool, mini golf and sand volleyball courts, a birding trail, fish cleaning facilities, several shelters and two viewing towers.

Golf
Visit nearby Warroad Estates Golf Course, an 18 hole course boasting a fleet of 50 electric carts, golf lessons, pro shop, men's, women's and senior league golfing, meticulously maintained greens and fairways, and reasonable fees. But there is no charge for the moose, bear, beaver, waterfowl, and other wildlife that are likely to be seen on the links.

Shopping and other activities
Our downtown area has seen some incredible growth and we are proud to say we now have many specialty shops that are very anxious to serve our guests.
As you stroll the streets downtown, you will find many other shops that have something for everyone including a specialty clothing, a modern coffee shop & the New Marvin Home Center.  We would also recommend a trip to west of town for a stop at Reiki's spa/salon or continue to Streiff Sporting Goods. This first-class facility offers everything for an outdoor enthusiast and their family.  Another point of interest includes the Warroad Public Library and Heritage Center.

Warroad Summer Theater
This is one of the top community theaters in Minnesota.  They feature four different plays throughout the spring and summer, plus a children’s’ theater production.
